Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Give-Away

Hey everyone! I am giving away a breast pump. It's perfect thing for me to give away what with me loving boobs and babies and nursing and all that fun stuff. Read along to find out how you can win a Evenflo Comfort Select Performance breast pump!

If you are (or ever have been) the mother of an infant you have pumped breast milk. I did it for Elle, I did it for my surrogate child and I will do it for my next surrogate child. Pumping is great, it allows us to give our children the very best even when we're away from them. It isn't always very convenient though. When I pumped for my surrogate child I hated always having to bring my bog, bulky pump with me everywhere. If only I had know about the Evenflo Comfort Select Performance breast pump. It's easy to use, portable, easy to clean and matches almost any outfit. Who wouldn't one of of these babies? I know I would. And I bet you would to.

So how can you get one? Two ways. First, you can head over here and enter to win a breast pump and nursing pads. Or, you can stay right here and enter. That's right, you can win a breast pump right here. Can you even believe it? Yes, I bet you can.

Leave a comment on this post between now and 11:59 PM May 9th and you are entered in a give-away for a Evenflo Breast Pump plus two boxes of nursing pads. That's all you have to do! Feel free to enter even you don't need a pump. It makes a good shower gift too! Leave any kind of comment you like. I'm not picky. For example, discuss if you think it's possible to make butter out of breast milk. Or talk about how anyone who discusses breast milk butter probably has too much time on their hands. Whatever you like, just make sure it has a valid email address attached to it so I can contact you if you are the winner. Come on, what are you waiting for?

I would like to thank the good folks at momcentral.com and Evenflo making this giveaway possible.

Park City Mountain Resort

I have a confession. Despite the fact that I lived in Colorado for five years and despite the fact that I now live in the great frozen state of Minnesota, I don't do winter sports. I don't ski, I don't skate, I don't even like to go and get my mail if it's too cold outside. So why am I here today telling you about Park City Mountain Resort? I can give you 5 reasons!

1. Park City Mountain has ski lessons for every age group. Everyone age 3.5 and up can get ski lessons there. You can learn in a group (and I'm sure they make everyone stop laughing at you when you fall a dozen times) or have a private lesson (where only one person laughs at you when you fall a dozen times.)

2. They have an Alpine Coaster. According to the website the coaster sends you "down the mountain on nearly 4,000 feet of curves, bends and loops". Awesome.

3. They have tubing. Tubing is one winter sport I can really get into. Especially when they have a lift to take to you the top of the hill. A sport where I can do nothing but sit in a tube and have fun? Yes thank you!

4. The town of Park City is located just 35 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport and has over 100 bars and restaurants.

5. The town (once home of the winter Olympics) has a fantastic bus system to help you get from place to place.

Still not convinced? Seriously? Even after I told you about the tubing? Ok, then check out The Adventure Blog where you can get all kinds of helpful tips and insight from moms who have visited the Park City Resort before. If you go to the blog now you can enter to win a Family Winter Vacation for four (two adults and two kids, 12 and under) to Park City, Utah, including 3-nights lodging, 4-days of lift tickets and ski/snowboard school for the kids. On second thought, maybe don't go the Adventure Blog. I kind of want to win that vacation myself.

What? I like tubing!

Preserve toothbrush review and contest

In out house we try to practice the three R's as much as possible. We reduce, recycle and reuse because we think it's important as I imagine most people do. I sometimes wonder though about all the little things we throw away without even thinking about it. All those little things can add up and have a big impact. The good news is that we can all do little things that can add up to have a positive impact. Enter the Preserve toothbrush!
The thinking behind the new Preserve toothbrush is pretty clever. How it works is this:
1. You buy the toothbrush (It's available at Target for only $2.04 PLUS the Recycline website has money saving coupons you can print off)
2. You use the toothbrush until it's time to replace it. (Dentists recommend switching it every three months!)
3. You send your used toothbrush back to Recycline via the prepaid envelope that is provided to you. (Yes, it's free for you to send it back to them!)
4. Your old toothbrush is then re-processed into plastic lumber for picnic tables, boardwalks and decks.

Now that's just neat. Also neat is the fact that Recycline has a whole line of products including plates and tableware and I feel much better about Recycline goods than I do about other paper plates that I won't mention. (Except that I will.)

If you would like to try out the Preserve toothbrush for FREE just leave a comment on this post. On July 16th I will pick a commenter at random to receive TWO Preserve toothbrushes. You can feel good about keeping your teeth clean and helping to keep the planet clean. And what could be better than that?

Popcorn giveaway winners

The winners of my Orville Redenbacher popcorn giveaway have been chosen. I assigned a number to each entry and used Random.org to pick two winning numbers. The winners are......

The Gray Gang and my aunt Doreen.

You know, I almost redrew when my aunt came up as a winner because I thought it was going to look like I cheated or something. But then I figured no one would really think I had cheated just so that a family member could get some free popcorn. Right? RIGHT!?!? Anyway. Don't be sad if you didn't win this time around. I have another contest coming up really soon and this time I probably won't even let my family members enter.

Orville Redenbacher popcorn giveaway

In our house we love popcorn. The kids love to eat it during family movie night and both of them can pack it away like you wouldn't believe. I've got one kid that's pickier than all get out with food and one with a major sweet tooth but popcorn is one snack that we can all agree on. Of course the kind of popcorn I really like comes from a movie theater and is swimming in "butter" but microwaved popcorn is a pretty good substitute.

Thanks to the good folks at Orville Redenbacher you can now enter my contest right here to win a popcorn sample pack. The rules are very simple. Leave a comment on this entry telling me your favorite "junk" food and what healthier option you like to replace it with. Or maybe you don't replace it with anything? Just tell me that! It's an acceptable answer too! Or maybe you don't eat junk food. That's not an acceptable answer because anyone who doesn't eat some kind of junk food is evil.

Two winners will be chosen at random to receive an Orville Redenbacher sample pack. Comments must be left before 11:59 PM on June 25th in order to be accepted. One entry per person please! You don't have to have a blog to enter but if you don't please make sure you leave a valid email address for me to get in contact with you if you are the winner.

Not sure what you would do with that popcorn if you won it? Try my popcorn salad!
